Mexico City left-hander Tai sun Rang helped his team edge Nova Scotia by the score of 2-1. Rang kept the opposing lineup in check. The 9th-place Blue Demons are 12-15.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Blue Demons had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when right fielder Rob Banks hit a 2-run single. The single came off Wilson Phillips and made the score 2-0, Blue Demons. Banks was 1-3, while adding 2 RBI.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Rang told the Mexico City Daily News. "But we take nothing for granted."
