The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.

The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC had to overcome a big game from Dayton third baseman Fernando Mezzatesta to leave Great Northern Field with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-6, in 10 innings. Mezzatesta went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Thunder Bay reliever Pancho Calderón picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Steve King took the loss.

The Northern Lions BC got a clutch hit from first baseman Ishaan Swan. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Northern Lions BC.

"The crowd was raucous," said Swan.

At 19-8, the Northern Lions BC claim first place in the Third League.
