Moore Delivers 2-0 Win
|
Charleston Armory hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
The Charleston Battery got a good effort from starter Mike Moore in defeating the Nova Scotia Leviathan at Charleston Armory. The final score was 2-0. Juan Carlos Mejía recorded the save for Charleston, his 5th of the season.
Nova Scotia had little success against Moore and his fastball. Moore tossed 103 pitches over 7.2 innings for the Battery.
"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Moore.
Charleston is third in the Third League with a record of 18-11.
