A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Buckhead Bowties and St. Louis Coeur.

Martino Madlad was a vital contributor to the 10-5 Buckhead victory over St. Louis. The Bowties third baseman was 1 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Max Meltdown was the winner. He's now 2-3. The loser was 29-year old right-handed pitcher George Washington.

Madlad had a key at-bat in the top of the third to put Buckhead in front, 2-0. With the bases loaded, he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run off St. Louis pitcher George Washington.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Madlad.

By defeating St. Louis, the 4th-place Bowties improved to 18-13.
