Nova Scotia Falters Again, Loses, 8-5, to Oakland
Another game, another loss for the struggling Nova Scotia Leviathan.

The Oakland Oaks defeated the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 8-5, in part because of right fielder Juan Gutiérrez. Gutiérrez was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Oaks. Jack Parker nailed down his 1st save.

Gutiérrez contributed in the bottom of the fourth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Oakland get the win.

"We take it day by day here," said Gutiérrez, "and today was a good one for us."
