Behind Chaumond, Nova Scotia Blanks Santa Catalina, 6-0

The Nova Scotia Leviathan shut out the Santa Catalina Condor 6-0 today behind the strong pitching of Roberto Chaumond. Chaumond surrendered only 8 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 6.
Following the last out, Chaumond appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Santa Catalina manager Rose Rubo, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Chaumond's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart.
The Condor skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the Leviathan press conference, Chaumond confirmed that it was regarding the celebration.
"He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Chaumond said.
"And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Nova Scotia manager Tyler Studebaker added.
To date this year, Chaumond shows a 1-2 record, 6 starts, 38.2 innings, 29 strikeouts and a 2.79 ERA.
