Panama City Triumphs with Late Surge
The Panama City Piranhas topped the St. Louis Coeur, 9-4, with right fielder Paul Young playing a big role. Young was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs for the Piranhas in the win. Panama City, now 13-18, holds down 9th place in the Third League.

Panama City won the game in part because of Fred Kalkman. The first baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Piranhas ahead, 7-4. For the game, Kalkman had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"It's not about individual awards," Young told a Panama City Chronicle reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
