Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Ponies
David Vargas powered the Kingston Ponies to a win over the Vancouver Grey Wolves. The final score was 7-5. The Kingston shortstop, who is tied for 4th in the 3L with a 1.004 OPS, was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. The Ponies raised their record to 14-18.

Kingston went up, 7-5, on Alex Combs's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Combs hit in the bottom of the eighth, made Vancouver pitcher Brad Carter grimace.

"David is still learning," said Ponies manager Rayzor Ray. "The sky's the limit for him."
