Divided Stumble, Lose to Hurricanes
D.C. second baseman Joaquín Rodríguez had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Rodríguez went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, even as Cape Coral beat the Divided, 9-4. William Morris picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-2. He struck out 4 in 6 innings. The defeat makes D.C. 17-15.

Cape Coral needed the clutch hitting of Gustavo López to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hurricanes on top, 4-3. For the game, López had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Cape Coral manager Greg Diersing.
