Ponies Beat Hurricanes, 5-4, at Megaffin Park

Phil Brooks impressed in the 5-4 Kingston win over Cape Coral. Brooks, the 6th overall pick in the 2056 draft, was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Fred Boman, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-1. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 3. The Ponies now have a record of 11-21.
Brooks made an early impact for Kingston when he stroked his 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the bottom of the second, put the Ponies on top, 5-0.
"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Brooks told a local reporter after the game.
