Northern Virginia Rallies to 7-2 Win
A 4-RBI performance from left fielder Markus Lund, who is rated as the 24th best prospect by BNN, led the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids to a win over the Boston Patriots, 7-2. The win was credited to 23-year old right-handed pitcher Rob Camp in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Jim Everhart took the loss. The 6th-place Rainbow Mermaids bumped their record to 13-13.

With Northern Virginia leading 3-2 in the top of the ninth, Lund hit a fastball from Lawrence Wood for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Rainbow Mermaids ahead, 7-2.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Lund.
