Oaks Suffer One-Run Loss at Buckhead
The Buckhead Bowties defeated the Oakland Oaks, 7-6, in part because of shortstop Francisco Guerrero. Guerrero was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Bowties. Nelson Shaffer came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record now stands at 3-3. Rory May picked up his 3rd save of the season.

Mark Ackerman was 1-3 against the Oaks. With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Buckhead in front, 7-6.

"It never gets old," said Ackerman. "Winning, that is."

The win makes Buckhead 15-20.
