The Charleston Battery handed the Dayton Dirty Reds a 6-3 defeat at Lang Park. Shortstop John Hunter starred for Charleston. He was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs. The Battery now have a record of 22-13.
Hunter got the Battery off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Hunter told the Charleston Today. "It's as simple as that."
