Rainbeaus Drop Tritons, 4-3

Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Jersey City Tritons home opener. Marty Collins started for the home team against Terry Ward for the Kansas Rainbeaus. The Tritons were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 4-3, Kansas. Nathan Dooley, though, was impressive.
Dooley contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Kansas in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Dooley took a fastball from Marty Collins and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Rainbeaus to leap in front, 3-2.
In postgame comments to the Kansas Bulletin, Dooley said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
