Morales Shines in 6-1 Philadelphia Win

The Philadelphia Liberty Reserves defeated the Bakersfield Nobles, 6-1, at Jerome Grounds. Leading the charge for Philadelphia was designated hitter Juan Morales. He was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Bakersfield falls to 0-2.
Morales had a key at-bat for Philadelphia in the top of the second. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and gave Philadelphia an early 2-0 lead.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Morales said in reaction to the win.
