Flyers Suffer One-Run Loss at Port Huron
The Port Huron Blitzkrieg defeated the Pennsauken Flyers, 3-2, in USPL Triple A action at Port Huron Park. Port Huron pitcher Mike Thornton had a standout performance. Rabi Tamir recorded his 1st save for Port Huron. Pennsauken falls to 0-2.

Shawn Maldonado had a big solo home run for the Blitzkrieg in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Port Huron leading 2-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a slider from 31-year old left-handed pitcher Jason O'Rourke and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Blitzkrieg on top, 3-0.

"Getting the win feels nice," said Thornton. "More importantly, I had a good game."
