Maldonado K's 11 En Route to 3-1 Voodoo Win
The Voodoo Lounge was the site of a tense game between the Toronto Thunder and New Orleans Voodoo.

Alfredo Maldonado, who is tied for 4th in the PL with a 8.7 K/9 rate, imposed his will on the Thunder from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 New Orleans triumph. Bob Douglas earned save number 6 this season.

Toronto could barely put a dent in Maldonado. The right-hander tossed 101 pitches over 7.1 innings for the Voodoo, allowing only 4 hits.

Maldonado told a New Orleans Bulletin reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

The win gives New Orleans a season record of 14-14.
