Flyers Winners, 6-2, Over Machine
|
Pennsauken pitcher George Boyce had a large part in his team subduing the Montreal Machine, 6-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. The loss drops Montreal to 1-2.
Preston Wilson hit a 2-run triple off Luke Little in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Flyers in front, 4-2. Wilson had 1 single and 1 walk, in addition to the three-bagger. For the game, he went 2 for 3.
Said losing manager Alfonso Vera: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
