Ellenburg got a terrific performance from pitcher Jorge Souza, but it wasn't enough to beat the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys. Syracuse won the The Zoo in Syracuse contest, 9-4. Souza threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. Ellenburg falls to 0-3.

Skip Lee had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth for the Squirrel Monkeys. Coming up with the bases loaded and Syracuse trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single.

"Solid performance from our side," said Squirrel Monkeys manager Ramón Barrueco.
