Marrero Delivers Walk-Off Win for Redlegs
With second baseman Maverick Miller leading the charge, the Sacramento Redlegs defeated the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 5-3, at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Miller, the 27th overall pick in the 2057 draft, was 1-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Dan Taylor got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. Sacramento goes to 3-1.

Sacramento got a knockout punch from Manny Marrero. The pinch hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Miller told the Sacramento Bulletin.
