The Jersey City Tritons picked up a win at Norfolk Field, knocking off the Norfolk Pajaritos, 3-2. On the mound for Jersey City was right-hander Dustin Howard. He played a key role in the triumph. Howard, now 2-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 7, walking 4, and allowing 2 runs. Augusto Gonzáles finished to wrap up his 3rd save.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Jing-zhong Ng? The 25-year old third baseman Ng stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put Jersey City up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
