Brass Lose By a Run at Bakersfield

The Bakersfield Nobles scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Baton Rouge Brass at Jerome Grounds. Bakersfield pitcher Sanya Matlah held his own in the contest. Picking up the save was Jared Wilson, his 1st. Baton Rouge drops to 2-3.
In the bottom of the eighth, Bakersfield left fielder Alan Malone hit a two-strike fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It put the Nobles up, 4-3.
"We did enough to win," said Malone.
