A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Boston Patriots and Hollywood Shredders.

The Boston Patriots converted a terrific effort from starter Eric Buchanan into a win over the Hollywood Shredders at The Hollywood Bowl. The Patriots won the game by a final score of 5-0. The winner was Buchanan. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Christos Waddington.

Making an impact for Boston was third baseman Bill Meeks. He drilled a double off Christos Waddington in the top of the first. For the game, Meeks went 1 for 5 with a double.

"Eric did a good job keeping the game under control," said Boston manager Brian Fahie.

Hollywood has now lost 5 straight.
