Pride Lose Versus Port Huron, 6-3
|
Blitzkrieg left fielder Tim MacPherson left his mark on his team's 6-3 win over the Hartford Pride. MacPherson was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Port Huron in the contest. Eric Morris snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits over 4.2 innings. He's now 2-0 on the season. Rabi Tamir earned the save for Port Huron, his 2nd of the year.
The Pride had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Blitzkrieg going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old second baseman Mike Kramer came to the plate. Kramer hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch slider from Hartford hurler Ray Spencer. It was Kramer's 3rd home run of the year.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," MacPherson told the Port Huron Citizen.
At 4-2, the Blitzkrieg have played well so far.
