Jersey City Gets 4-0 Win
|
The Jersey City Tritons wanted a good start from Bob Ashley -- and he delivered one. The result was a 4-0 Jersey City win over the Pennsauken Flyers at Pennsauken Park. Ashley, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing no runs. At 4-2, the Tritons have played well so far.
The Tritons got a big at-bat from third baseman Jing-zhong Ng, who in the top of the sixth hit a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Tritons on top, 4-0.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Ashley.
