Brass Win, 4-2, Versus Bakersfield

David Sullivan, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2046 draft, pitched well, but the Bakersfield Nobles still fell short, losing, 4-2, to the Baton Rouge Brass at Jerome Grounds. Héctor Peña earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. His record is now 1-1. Will Gordon sewed up the save, his 1st.
Maru Kobayashi made it 3-2, in favor of Baton Rouge when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with two out in the top of the eighth. The Brass went on to win.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Baton Rouge manager Luis Ruíz. "It's usually not just one thing."
Baton Rouge has a record of 3-3.
