Behind a solid performance from left fielder Millard Carlson, the Kansas Rainbeaus defeated the Syracuse Starks, 8-3. Carlson slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Rainbeaus. Kansas is off to a hot start at 4-2.

With Kansas leading 2-0 in the top of the sixth, Carlson batted against Syracuse pitcher Jorge Toledo. Carlson hit a cutter to right-center for a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Rainbeaus on top, 4-0.

In postgame comments, Carlson told the Kansas Bulletin: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
