The Syracuse Starks licked the Nashville Hot Chickens, 6-4. Matt Dunham deserved a big chunk of the credit. The center fielder went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Starks. Syracuse pitcher Adam Walker got the win. He's now 1-0. Wendell Latham was tagged with the loss. Mario Méndez locked down his 3rd save.

Dunham had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-2 curveball from Mario Rosales, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Starks a 6-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Dunham.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Dunham.

With their winning streak at 4, the Starks have raced to a strong start this season.
