Norfolk had no answer for 28-year old right-handed pitcher Zebulon Pike. The Sacramento Redlegs starter stymied Pajaritos hitters, helping the Redlegs cruise to victory, 7-1. With their winning streak at 5, the Redlegs have raced to a strong start this season.

The Pajaritos had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Redlegs going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Maverick Miller came to the plate. Miller hit a solo home run on a 2-2 fastball from Norfolk hurler Doug Morgan. It was Miller's 2nd home run of the year.

"Zebulon is a gamer," said Sacramento manager Luis Ríos.
