Big Day for Dixon in 7-2 Bullets Win
|
A 3-RBI performance from Nathan Dixon, the 9th overall pick in the 2055 draft, helped the Baltimore Bullets beat the Hollywood Shredders, 7-2. Justin Brammer, the winning pitcher, is now 2-5. He went 8 innings, allowing 2 runs on 9 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 2. With the win, the Bullets are 8-22.
The Bullets got an important contribution from first baseman Gale Boetticher, who in the bottom of the third hit a sinker to right-center for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Bullets ahead, 4-0.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Baltimore manager Chris Schubert.
