Montreal beat Syracuse at Stade Olympique, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to catcher Ilija Maric. He was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The loss makes Syracuse 5-4.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 6-6, 29-year old left fielder Dylan Bettinson won it for Montreal. With a runner on 2nd, Bettinson hit a 0-2 fastball from Miguel López for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 7-6 win.

"This joint was rocking," said Maric.
