Drummers Earn 2-1 Win Versus Flyers
|
Pennsauken wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Álex López, falling to the Tortolita Drummers, 2-1. López threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The winner was Carl Harris in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Felipe González took the loss. Tim Strong earned the save for Tortolita, his 3rd.
With the bases empty and no one out in the top of the eighth inning, second baseman Rob Robinson delivered big for the Drummers. Tortolita was trailing 1-0 when he belted a solo home run.
"It wasn't easy, but we got it done," said Robinson.
The win puts Tortolita at 4-5.
