The Seattle Rocketeers soundly defeated the Hollywood Shredders, 12-3, at The Hollywood Bowl. Cortland Talman let his bat do the talking. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for Seattle. The Rocketeers improved to 17-14.

Seattle used a well-timed hit by Mark Jarvis to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Rocketeers ahead, 4-3. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Jarvis told the Seattle Chronicle.
