Stade Olympique was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

The Norfolk Pajaritos got a superb performance from pitcher George Hill. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Montreal. The Machine won the game, 2-0. Hill threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Brian Hill got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 7 innings, giving up no runs on 9 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. Rudolph Williams nailed down the save.

In the bottom of the first inning, designated hitter Yerson Acevedo had a 2-run home run for Montreal. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Machine on top, 2-0.

"Nice to get this one," said Acevedo. "Wins have been hard to come by."

The win takes Montreal to 2-7.
