Ortíz Delivers Walk-Off Win for Flyers
Evan Longboardia did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to spare the Sacramento Redlegs an extra-inning, 8-7 loss to the Pennsauken Flyers at Pennsauken Park. Longboardia went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times. Pablo Gonzáles, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1 innings. The Flyers, now 7-3, have played some good baseball in the early going.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Pennsauken third baseman Cris Ortíz, facing Ryan Hurley, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Flyers the 8-7 win.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Ortíz.
