Pennsauken Downed, 4-2, by Fighting Dachshunds
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds picked up a win at Pennsauken Park, dropping the Pennsauken Flyers, 4-2. Mark Cunningham, the 8th overall pick in the 2050 draft, was the difference-maker. The winning pitcher was Cunningham, now 1-1. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. Robinson Espinoza earned the save for Ellenburg, his 1st.
Albert Devigorerrazuriz came through with a big-time hit for Ellenburg. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Ellenburg manager Pedro Rodríguez. "It's usually not just one thing."
The loss lowers the Pennsauken record to 6-4.
