Hoover 3-for-4 to Power Hot Chickens Offense
The Nashville Hot Chickens beat the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 14-5, at Hot Chickens Park. The Hot Chickens got a fine performance from catcher Floyd Hoover, who went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 6. The loss drops Ellenburg to 6-4.

The Hot Chickens got an important contribution from shortstop Ooze Abraham Siebert, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a 1-0 fastball to left for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Hot Chickens ahead, 6-3.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Hoover said.
