Riding the 2-hit performance of the 34-year old second baseman Tom Scroby, the Port Huron Blitzkrieg defeated the Sacramento Redlegs, 8-1. Ben Jones earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record is now 1-0. Sacramento drops to 6-5.

In the bottom of the third inning, third baseman Balanatha Simha had a bases-clearing double for Port Huron. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Blitzkrieg on top, 4-1.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Port Huron manager Steve Ferguson.
