The Baton Rouge Brass got a marvelous performance from pitcher Jessie Wolfe. The right-hander kept the Jersey City offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-2 Baton Rouge victory at Jersey City Grounds. The save went to Anthony Bailey, his 5th this season. Baton Rouge goes to 7-4 with the win.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Nick Everett? The Baton Rouge center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Brass on top, 2-0. For the game, Everett had 2 doubles and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Jessie knows how to get ahead of hitters, stay ahead of hitters, and put people out," said Baton Rouge manager Luis Ruíz.
