Jimmy Conner had a good game, but he could not keep the Norfolk Pajaritos from falling, 8-6, to the Pennsauken Flyers at Norfolk Field. The Norfolk third baseman was 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI in the loss. Rodrigo Herrera was the winner. Over 5 innings, he yielded 5 runs on 10 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. Pablo Gonzáles got credit for the save for Pennsauken. It was his 3rd of the year.
The Flyers got a lift from center fielder Ernest Morgan, who in the top of the fifth stroked a first pitch circle change to center for a run-scoring single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Flyers ahead, 6-5.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Pennsauken skipper Dave Morse.
Norfolk now has a record of 6-6.
