Voodoo Need Extra Frames to Get Past Billy Goats
The New Orleans Voodoo faced a tenacious opponent in Colorado pitcher Sloppy Thurston, but still scratched out a win at Grazing Hills by a final score of 5-3 in 10 innings. Thurston went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Michael Wilson earned the save, his 6th. The first-place Voodoo have a one-game lead in their division.

Rubén Vargas drove in one run against the Billy Goats. With the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put New Orleans in front, 4-3.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Colorado manager Mack Kilkeary.
