Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys starter Cody Beasley turned in an exceptional performance against the Bakersfield Nobles at The Zoo in Syracuse, resulting in a Syracuse win, 3-2. The save went to Miguel López, his 3rd this season. The Nobles fall to 5-7 and continue their lackluster start to the 2063 season.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Squirrel Monkeys had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when center fielder Diego Guzmán hit a 2-run single. The single came off David Sullivan and made the score 3-1, Squirrel Monkeys. Guzmán was 2 for 3 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

After the game, Syracuse manager Ramón Barrueco applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
