Yoshida Silences Hollywood Bats
|
Mitsuo Yoshida was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Atlantica. In fact, the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids right-hander was instrumental in his team's 3-0 victory over the Hollywood Shredders. Quinton Barnard wrapped it up, recording his 5th save. With the win, the Rainbow Mermaids have a record of 18-15.
Yoshida, who leaned on his curveball, allowed no runs on just 1 hit over 8.1 innings for the Rainbow Mermaids. For the most part, Hollywood hitters were simply overmatched.
Yoshida called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
