Streaking Brass Win Another One, 4-2
|
Baton Rouge Brass starter Jessie Wolfe turned in a top-notch performance against the Norfolk Pajaritos at Brass Field. The result was a win for the Brass, 4-2. Sixto Espinosa collected his 2nd save. The hot start continues for the defending champion Brass. This was their 11th win in 14 games.
Tied up with the Pajaritos in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Brass got a boost from shortstop Graham White. With runners on 1st and 2nd, White saw a 2-2 slider from Frank Vetter and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Baton Rouge on top, 2-1.
"Jessie's as tough as he is talented," said Baton Rouge manager Luis Ruíz.
