Thunder Take Nail-Biter Over Shredders
Despite a great performance by Hollywood catcher Stanley Johnston, the Toronto Thunder defeated the Shredders by the score of 5-4 in 11 innings at Thunder Field. Johnston was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win went to Ron Murphy in relief, making him now 1-0. Mark Sims took the loss for Hollywood. With the win, Toronto raised its record to 20-14.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Toronto. That's when Michael Barry hit a solo home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Mark Sims to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"The house was rockin'," said Barry.
