The Jersey City Tritons beat the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 4-1, at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Jersey City pinch hitter Matt Fightmaster had an outstanding performance. He went 1 for 1 with a home run. Jersey City reliever Jeremiah Harris picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Harley Wright was tagged with the loss. Jersey City has a record of 8-7.

Jersey City catcher Reginald Hunter contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 5th hit of the season and put the Tritons ahead, 2-0.

After the game, Hunter applauded his team's resolve. "We kept our focus on the task before us," he said.
