Redlegs Get Past Syracuse for 3-2 Win
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Sacramento Redlegs and Syracuse Starks.
The Sacramento Redlegs locked up a win at Sacramento Sanitation Station, knocking off the Syracuse Starks, 3-2. On the mound for Sacramento was right-hander Christos Waddington. He played a major role in the triumph. The Redlegs, with just their 4th win in 15 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
Armando Andrade provided some late-game heroics for Sacramento. In the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a run-scoring single. It came on a 1-1 curveball from Hugh Mann and propelled Sacramento to a 3-2 lead.
"Christos can bring it," said Sacramento manager Kyle Lucas.
