The Tortolita Drummers withstood a fine game by Syracuse shortstop Manny Estrada at Stark Stadium, to upend the Starks, 5-4. Estrada was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Tortolita reliever Gypsyamber D'Souza picked up the win, while Gelana Maitho took the loss for Syracuse. With the win, Tortolita boosts its record to 7-8.

Tortolita used the timely hitting of Rafael Carballar to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Drummers on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Tortolita manager Marcos Costa called it "a darn good win."
