The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys picked up a win at Sacramento Sanitation Station, knocking off the Sacramento Redlegs, 3-1. Starting pitcher Patches Magickbeans played a key role in the triumph. Sacramento, with the loss, is 5-10.

Wyatt Hathaway put Syracuse in front, 2-0, when he hit a solo home run off Clarence Butler in the top of the third. It was his 2nd home run of the season.

"I can't say enough about Patches," said Syracuse manager Ramón Barrueco. "He stepped up when we needed him."
