|
Kevin Webb propelled his team to victory over the Monongahela Monsters. The final score was 5-2, Baton Rouge. Woody Lee was credited with the save for Baton Rouge, his 3rd of the season. The win gives Baton Rouge a record of 10-5.
In the bottom of the fifth, Baton Rouge designated hitter Ray Draper whacked a fastball to left for a bases-clearing double. His 2nd double of the season put the Brass in front, 3-1.
"That's how you're going to be successful," said Brass manager Luis Ruíz. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
