Thunder Knock Off Rainbow Mermaids at Thunder Field
The Toronto Thunder went home winners at Thunder Field, thanks in large part to starter Victor Lagers. Lagers stifled the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, enabling Toronto to grab the 3-0 win. Ron Murphy recorded his 5th save for Toronto. Toronto now owns a record of 13-22.

The Thunder got a big at-bat from center fielder Bill Simon. For the game, Simon was 1 for 4 with a triple. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 3rd triple of the season gave Toronto a 1-0 lead.

In postgame remarks, Simon applauded his team's "resolve."
