Rocketeers Fall Short, 4-3, at New Orleans
|
New Orleans parlayed a decent outing from starter Alex Thompson into a solid win over the Seattle Rocketeers. The final score was 4-3. In 6.1 innings, Thompson surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. Michael Wilson earned the save for New Orleans, his 7th.
With two out in the bottom of the second, Andy Jackson put New Orleans in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Voodoo went on to win the ballgame.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims.
With the victory, the Voodoo upped their record to 23-12.
