Rogers Dominates Patriots in 2-0 Shutout
In an outstanding mound performance, Seattle Rocketeers starter Cornell Rogers fired a complete-game shutout against the Boston Patriots at Boeing Dome.

Rogers was the key to the 2-0 Seattle win. The 32-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 2 hits and 2 walks he allowed.

"2 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout."

So far this year, Rogers has made 8 starts, tossed 58.2 innings, struck out 43 batters and walked 22. His record is 5-3 with a 3.38 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .215 batting average.
