Patriots Come Up Short at Toledo, 1-0
In a low-scoring game between the Toledo Stingers and the Boston Patriots, pitcher Kiyonaga Kondo was masterful on the mound. The Toledo right-hander spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. At 22-13, the Stingers are currently second in the Premier League.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Stingers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when center fielder Elijah Smalls hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Jim Everhart and made the score 1-0, Stingers. Smalls was 2-4 with 2 singles.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Toledo manager David Bunting.
