The Tortolita Drummers knocked off the Calgary Lynx, 5-4, in USPL Triple A action at Drummers Ballpark. Tortolita pitcher and Santiago, Dominican Republic, native Manuel Villalobos had an outstanding performance. The winner was Tortolita reliever Gypsyamber D'Souza, now 1-1. The loser was Thad Parker. Tortolita goes to 11-7.

Ernesto Valenzuela played the role of hero for Tortolita. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a solo home run off Thad Parker to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was the decisive blow.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Valenzuela.
