Shredders Suffer 9-6 Setback
Getting offensive support from Brian Orpen, the Seattle Rocketeers topped the Hollywood Shredders, 9-6. Orpen went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Rocketeers. Bill Hayes earned the save for Seattle, his 4th of the year. Seattle sits in last place in the Premier League at 14-22.

In the top of the second, Seattle center fielder McFlurry Beck whacked a curveball to right-center for a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season put the Rocketeers in front, 2-0.

Rocketeers manager Andrew Powell wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
