The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Todd Turner into a win. Instead, the Jersey City Tritons prevailed, 7-3, in 10 innings. Turner threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Manuel Pérez, 3-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Jersey City is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 5th win in 19 games.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Garry Park came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Syracuse pitcher Ben Lane, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a 2-run double. It was a game-changer, putting Jersey City on top, 5-3.

"We took home the win," said Park. "What's not to like?"
